We call EPISODE THIRTY-NINE Dar City Geographies. Joining us is geographer Dr. Sarah Smiley from Kent State University who discusses a wide range of themes all related to the Tanzanian super-city, Dar es Salaam. We discuss the legacy of historical segregation policies on the urban landscape; the improvements made to the transport infrastructure in this rapidly growing city; and how different it is for residents to fetch water across the different districts of this city.
